Install the Claude desktop app
Download it from claude.ai/download, install it, and sign in with your Claude account.
Trip Agent is a free plugin for Claude. Setting it up takes about ten minutes.
Download it from claude.ai/download, install it, and sign in with your Claude account.
In the app, click the Code tab at the top.
Click the Terminal button 1. The Terminal opens beside it 2.
Paste this line into the Terminal and press Return. It installs Trip Agent and makes your travel folder, trip-agent, in your home folder. When it finishes, it says how to start.
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Kinetik-Infotech/trip-agent-marketplace/main/install/install.sh | bash
irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Kinetik-Infotech/trip-agent-marketplace/main/install/install.ps1 | iex
Your Mac may ask to install Apple's command line developer tools. Click Install, wait for it to finish, then paste the line again. It carries on where it stopped.
If it installs Python, close the Terminal, open a new one, and paste the line again. It carries on where it stopped.
Trip Agent searches with the travel connectors in your own Claude account. In the Claude app, open Settings, then Connectors, and add these:
Civitatis and Veltra add tours and activities, and AccuWeather adds the weather. They are optional.
In the Code tab, start a new session, and choose the trip-agent folder in your home folder as its folder. Your travel agent is waiting there, and keeps your profile and trips in it.
Type Plan me a trip. It starts by showing you pairs of hotel photos to learn your preferences.
As you plan, your travel agent keeps three pages for you: your profile, your hotel options and your itinerary. Find them under Artifacts in the Claude app, or at claude.ai/code/artifacts. Their names start with Trip Agent.
